For years, I have served as a useful source to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our world. I founded in the movement with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and I have been at it ever since.

Donovan is a prime subject of taking circumstances to another level. At a young age, Donovan was forced to walk due to being a big baby with thunder thighs. Using those legs to get from point A to B, sports were normal for him. Starting off with softball, Donovan’s athleticism excelled to one of his biggest turning points in his life. In 2002, while competing in an afterschool fun run, a child threw a handful of debris into his eye as he was finishing. Stunned by this event, the course of Donovan’s future was forever altered. A cornea transplant and cataract removal led to a 6 month recovery process that only led to another injury. Playing basketball, another athlete threw an elbow directly to the eye by mistake that led to a complete loss of the cornea and vision of the eye.
Still wanting to be active, his doctor allowed him to run considering it is a non-contact sport. Not even knowing what Track & Field was, he joined and wanted to be the best he could be. Starting off as a sprinter, Donovan’s running career in high school ended with a 4x400m championship. Wanting to pursue a career of a runner, he went to Queens College and joined a nonexistent sprinter division of the track team. Not being the best, he strived hard and worked at his running daily which only led to injuries. This sparked his curiosity for mobility training because every season, midway through he would injure one of his hamstrings or battled against back pain. Even with injuries and limited mobility, Donovan was a back to back East Coast Conference Champion. Nothing held him back and he wanted to continue his passion with the sport and share it with others.
Graduating with a bachelor's degree in Nutrition & Exercise Science, Donovan became an assistant track and field coach and followed that with becoming a coach for Equinox (EQX). Working on Wall Street with the world’s top execs, Donovan entered EQX Wall Street’s top 5 Trainer Club and created the Equinox Run Club that is still going on in NYC through the summer. Achieving everything that was set out in NYC, his urge for growth carried him into Los Angeles to assist with the opening of EQX’s newest gym and build a team that became 2018’s club of the year.
After receiving Equinox’s Top Educational Trainer of the West Coast, once again Donovan hit a point of wanting more growth and bigger challenges. He recently moved to Orange County to join Innovative Results to create his biggest business yet.
Now the current Event Manager and lead coach of Innovative results, am assistant coach of Costa Mesa High School Track & Field team, and the newest coach at Orangetheory Fitness in Corona Del Mar, Orange County will be taking experiencing Donovan in all fronts.
